Objects in Space, is, like the rest of my music, mostly free. For the longest time my music was just plain old 'free'. I gave it away to anyone and everyone. But now, with the release of my sixth album, the time has come for me to ask for a little in return.
You see, I have a kid on the way, and well, that kinda stuff aint' cheap. So all I ask is that you give a little something in return, and I might feel a bit more secure in the knowledge that I'll be able to raise this kid without slaving over a 9 to 5 job.
How much am I asking for? Well, I'm leaving that up to you. Maybe my life's work is worth 76 cents to you, maybe you really love my music and I'm worth 76 dollars to you. My suggested price is a nice comfortable $7.76...

I truly believe that this is the way of the future, that in time every artist will give away his works for free and depend on the kindness and generosity of those who find value in those works for monetary support. This is simply the simplest way, is it not? The RIAA and all of those involved in the racket will simply be forgotten in time and the idea that having access to any and every work for free is "piracy" will be disregarded as an outdated concept from before the turn of the century.
